Hello,

We are pleased to announce the release of Skylar Compliance v5.6 20260225. This release contains the following updates:

  • Addressed an issue that prevented new variables from being correctly read by compliance rules, which caused errors during rule testing. (Case: 00482948)
  • Addressed an issue that prevented domain users that did not have the "ViewDeviceauth" permission from editing a device. (Case: 00610968)
  • Added paginated search and infinite scrolling to the regular expression (RegEx) global search. Additionally, updated the user interface of the search results header and the grouping of devices and configurations in search results. (Case: 00526431)
  • Added the new Status field to the View Output modal, which displays the count of commands that succeeded or triggered an error. Additionally, the outputs from commands that error or fail are retained and are accessible from the View Output modal.

  • Added the RuleType, Requirement, MatchType, and Value fields to the following reports:

    • Configuration Compliance Full
    • Configuration Compliance Latest
    • Configuration Compliance Summary
    • Compliance Violations
  • Added the DeviceLabels field to the following reports:
    • Configuration Compliance Full

    • Configuration Baselines

  • Addressed an issue with device template variables that prevented the same variable from being used multiple times. As part of the fix for this issue, the following improvements were made to variables:

    • Multiple occurrences of the same variable are now tracked and you can see the number of occurrences.

    • You can add selected text as an entry for a variable by clicking [Insert] under Actions.

    • You can no longer create new variables with the same name as an existing variable.

    • You can no longer mark or insert a variable that overlaps ranges with another variable.

    • You can expand a variable by clicking the arrow icon next to it to view its line number and relative line range.

    • You can mark or insert a variable by clicking on or before the word you want to mark or insert.

    • You can now delete an occurrence of a variable by selecting the occurrence and clicking the trashcan icon under Actions.

    • Hovering your cursor over a variable row will highlight all occurrences of the variable in the template. (Case: 00561901)
