Hello,

We are pleased to announce the release of Version 2.0.0 of the "ServiceNow Service Catalog" SyncPack. This SyncPack adds the new "Sync Company Requests from ServiceNow to Skylar One" application and adds multiple applications that were removed from the "ServiceNow CMDB" SyncPack. This release also addresses an issue that prevented device maintenance schedules from being deleted successfully, and updates the way that requests are made using the "ScienceLogic SL1: Service Catalog Automation" application in ServiceNow.

NOTE:The "ServiceNow Base" SyncPack version 4.0.0 or later is required to be used with this SyncPack.

The following features were added in this release of the SyncPack:

  • Added the new "Sync Company Requests from ServiceNow to Skylar One" application, which pulls catalog requests from ServiceNow and organizations from Skylar One, compares them, and creates the necessary organizations in Skylar One and companies in ServiceNow.

NOTE: This application does not allow you to create ServiceNow companies in different domains within the same ServiceNow instance from a single Skylar One organization.

  • Added the following applications that were removed from the "ServiceNow CMDB" SyncPack version 4.0.0:
    • Sync Discovery Requirements
    • Sync Service Requests from ServiceNow to Skylar One
    • Sync Discovery Session Status from Skylar One to ServiceNow
    • Sync Discovery Templates from Skylar One to ServiceNow l
  • Updated the steps in the SyncPack that interact with ServiceNow to leverage GQL rather than scripted APIs.
  • Divided the single step that handled pulling a discovery session, creating a virtual device, and device deletion requests into individual steps.
  • Removed the "affected_ci" functionality from the discovery workflow. Previously, this populated the ServiceNow "sys_id" and "class" to the Skylar One device upon discovery. This data will now be populated using the CI attribute sync.

The following issue was addressed in this release of the SyncPack:

  • Addressed an issue which prevented device maintenance schedules from being successfully deleted. (Case: 00566375)
