Hello,

We are pleased to announce the release of the Skylar Compliance SyncPack version 3.2.0. This release has many important updates, particularly for larger customers.

Version 3.2.0 of the "Skylar Compliance" (formerly Restorepoint) SyncPack adds support for domain-level credential filtering and routing, adds the new generate_report toggle to the "Skylar Compliance: Get the List of Logs" application, and addresses an issue with the "Skylar Compliance: Gather Compliance Logs" application.

This section describes the new features and enhancements included in this release:

What's new: Support for domain-level credential filtering and routing. Version 3.2.0 of the Skylar Compliance SyncPack adds support for domain-level filtering and routing to allow multiple Skylar One instances to connect to a single Skylar Compliance instance. This includes the following enhancements:

  • Updated the "Skylar Compliance: Fetch Credentials from Skylar One" application to read domain information while processing credential data. As a result, Skylar Automation can now fetch devices using domain-level filtering and route them to the correct Skylar One server.
  • Added the new "Skylar Compliance: Create Domains & Mapping from Cache" application, which compares and creates domains in the Skylar Compliance system and prepares data for mapping by the other steps in the SyncPack.
  • Implemented organization-to-domain mapping in the "Skylar Compliance: Gather Compliance Logs" application, which now filters devices based on specific domain mapping and applies the required host information for routing.
  • Implemented organization-to-domain mapping in the "Skylar Compliance: Get the List of Logs" application, which ensures devices are filtered by mapped domains and attaches the proper host information for routing, ensuring relevant logs are fetched and forwarded for each organization.
  • Implemented device-to-domain mapping in the "Skylar Compliance: Device Onboarding" application using domains created in the "Create Domains and Mapping" step to ensure devices are associated with the correct domains during device onboarding. Skylar Automation retrieves the domain value from the cache based on the organization globally unique identifier (GUID) and maps it to the corresponding device ID, thereby linking each device to its associated domain.

The following additional features were added in this release:

  • Added the new generate_report toggle to the "Skylar Compliance: Get the List of Logs" application, which, when toggled on, generates a report after all steps are completed that displays the device ID and name for all devices for which backups failed.

The following issues were addressed in this release:

  • Addressed an issue with the "Skylar Compliance: Gather Compliance Logs" application that prevented the application from returning results as expected due to a mismatched parameter value between Skylar One and Skylar Compliance.
