Hi All,

We have most of devices enabled with CDP and LLDP , if we see the view in the map the both the devices are connected to each other in view which is not helpful .

Device A is parent and device B is child , But in maps both the device is showing as parent as well child.

Whether everyone has this issue ?

Hello Isaac,

It is not clear from the screenshot provided what the issue is that you are describing. If you click on the specific relationship, a pop-up will appear showing which device is the parent and which is the child. Can you provide more information regarding the behavior you are seeing?

Hi,

We are facing the same issue (running at 12.5.4).

A device is a parent and a child at the same time.

Assume you have device A , B . A is parent and B child . In map A is showing as parent and B is showing as child in one way and other way B is showing as parent and A is showing as child

Hello Isaac,

Can you please provide screenshots showing this relationship being defined? Can you confirm that the devices showing these relationships are configured properly or do not have a topology loop in place?

This KB article https://support.sciencelogic.com/s/article/19885 explains in further details how we collect LLDP relationships. If this topology loop appears in the OIDs, then that will be reflected in Skylar One as well.
