Change a collector after the fact..can you?

 

is there a way for me to change the collector below for all dynamic applications CORMNSDATAC01 to a new one CORMNSMSGC01 for instance

  • Hello Rob,

    You cannot select a specific collector for a dynamic app to run. When the dynamic app is aligned, it will auto-assign to the collector the device is aligned to. If the collector is missing, then that usually means that the dynamic app is disabled. In some cases, a child device may have a dynamic app that runs on the collector of the root device, but even in these cases, the collector column may still show the collector the device is aligned to.

  • Only way is to put that new collector into new CUG and then move that monitored device to that new CUG

    Thanks guys , we had both collectors online and working however that network team made changes that the current collector could not connect to SNMP, was hoping there was a quick simple way to fix that in a pinch to the collector that wasn't affected
