Device Groups - Dashboard Widget

I am looking for a way to set a filter on Dashboard widget. This would be very helpful in use of it in my dashboards.

I trying to build a up/down view for the NOC. Using device groups to filter the device widget doesn't work. I can't put a device group on a map and Business services doesn't change color until all the devices goes down. I'm currently on 12.4 and will be upgrading to 12.5.1, although the GEO map is cool it will not complete the dashboard, BTW executives also look at the NOC dashboard. Also if you have examples of a NOC dashboard that would be helpful. We are trying to get approved to migrate from SolaWinds

    KyleTanaka​ Thank you for the clarification; drastically changes my response.

    A device group widget configured for This widget can drive other widgets, should certainly be capable of driving a device widget configured with Devices can be selected from other widgets set to context Type of "Device Group".

    While this quickly depicts a simple device widget with table visualization, the selected metrics and properties shouldn't matter. Can you confirm you're utilizing a similar configuration? If not, or if you do not mind sharing, can you provide details as to how you currently have your two widgets configured and the behavioral result you're getting?
