Multiple Parent Devices: we are trying to enable the Event Correlation on few devices
Is it possible to create the same child device for multiple parent devices?
There are several types of relationships that can be created in SL1. The most common one that people are familiar with would be DCM relationships which are created through discovery. DCM relationships do not allow for a child to have multiple parents.
However, there are additional relationships that be created that allow for this. DCM+R can be used to create relationships between any device. You can also create an ad hoc relationship which is a relationship created manually between two devices. Additionally, if these devices are discovered via IP address and merged, they may have "topology" relationships created by SL1's topology mapping if configured properly.
