Topology for SNMP device and pingable

Hi All,

 

 Whether in upcoming version Sl1 has capable of creating automatic topology creation between pingable device and SNMP device?

We don't want an adhoc creation it needs to be done automatically.

    Hello Isaac,

    SL1 is currently able to automatically discover topology maps and relationships between devices. Our documentation here Topology Maps explains the different types of topology maps automatically discovered by SL1 and how SL1 discovers them. Please review the documentation and let us know if there are any details specifically that you need clarified or if you have any other questions about SL1 Topology Maps.

      Topology within SL1 does not support for pingable , only SNMP devices are supported

    Hello Isaac,

    The different topology maps use the protocol designated for that type of topology mapping. For example, LLDP topology maps use the link layer discovery protocol while CDP uses the Cisco Discovery Protocol. The relationships are only created if those network relationships are there. Topology maps use neither ping/ICMP or SNMP.

    My team would also like the possibility to automatically map pingables on a topology map.
