Hey Everyone,I have recently integrated my SL1 distributed system with Okta. When accessing my databases directly by their IP everything functions as intended. Where the trouble begins is when trying to access my Admin Portals. When trying to access the Admin Portals we get a message back of "File not found". We have created sperate Okta applications and added them to the database hoping to resolve the issue but it still persist.Has anyone done this integration before and have they run into similar issues?

Hi,Has anyone developed a custom monitoring solution for IPv6 only devices? I am looking for PowerShell, Linux Powerpacks and a credential tester.Currently the SL1 solution does not support this scenario for Windows Servers.  I believe the same issue exists for Linux devices using the host resource power pack, but I do not have a ipv6 only Linux server to test this scenario.Both situations should fail to provide a port list as it requires Nmap -6 which is not supported in the solution.  I am not sure if the issue would fail on web checks, ssl certs, and other components in the system.Any help or experiences you have would be helpful as we navigate this issue.

Hi All, hoping someone here can help me out. I recently have been trying to make a small tweak to the python code for the out of the box silo_cisco_meraki_api Library from the Cisco: Meraki Powerpack (literally just changing one variable)I was able to get the Library downloaded, unpacked, extracted the individual .py file using 'wheel unpack [file]', made the change, and ran 'wheel pack [directory]'. The final step as outlined in this SL document is to re-package the python project using the command 'python3 -m pip download --find-links=. silo_cisco_meraki_api==0.6.10'. However, when I run this I'm getting the error:Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? I'm guessing there's a very obvious step I'm missing.

Hello,We would like to upgrade SL1 user interface AP2 to latest "Espresso" 8.7.37-107 version for our ScienceLogic SL1 environment in SaaS environments.However the release note:https://support.sciencelogic.com/s/release-file/aBtVL0000000C1B0AU/espressoexplicitly mentions: NOTE: The AP2 Espresso RPM file does not support Aurora3 in an AWS environment.We do not see this constraint in earlier versions of "Doughnut" 8.6.30-103 and "Croissant" 8.5.7-56.Does anyone have info on support for newer AP2 in AWS environment for SaaS and what the way forward is?

Hi All,  I would like to know how customers are managing the unused powerpacks in their environments , because the recommendation is to delete the  unused powerpacks because it will create some load during nightly discovery process . In case if we delete those packs also after upgrade it re-appears into stacks. There is any plans to avoid this? 

Would like to see ScienceLogic consider the expansion of groups beyond (Device Groups) to include:Site Groups - a distinct site or location which may contain many devices matching a dynamic expression, a location-based attribute (for example lat/long), a portion of the device name, or also include static members.   For example, all devices with an attribute or name match of site ID = 1382 are part of site  Pekin, Illinois, US.Interface Groups - group of interfaces, for example, all interfaces matching a parent device name portion of name or description, or other set of conditions / expressions.   For example, all interfaces with "wan" in the name should be in the WAN Interfaces Group.Collection / DA Groups - group of collections across various devices by expression/condition.  For example, all IP SLA tests with "TEAMS" in the test tag name. 

Microsoft has the option of building a Database Availability Group without an IP, called IP-Less DAGIt uses a broadcast IP, default 255.255.255.255Is there a way the MS Cluster PPPK can monitor this type of DAG?

Two SL1 API's ,   Devices  and  Events wants to integrate with google chronicle. How this can be done. Any suggestions please.  Is there any authentication required with token or how this works.

Hi All,I would like do some orchestration task from Sl1. Eg: I have a webserver A where if the  File system reaches above 95%  we used to get an alert from SL .  With the  help of RBA i need to trigger a task saying that if the alert is trigger from websever A , just shutdown the server Apache. There is any OOB method to do this ? Or we need to write the script to trigger ?

I am receiving this alert on Cat9500FixedSwitchStack (Cisco IOS Software [Bengaluru], Catalyst L3 Switch Software (CAT9K_IOSXE), Version 17.6.4). Has any one receiving the same alerts and what's the fix applied.

Starting the process over converting our Python2 PowerPacks to Python3. I created a Python3 Execution Environment, but there was not a ScienceLogic Silo library for python3 to add. Does this need to be download from SL and imported? Or do I use Py2 Library?Without this library in my Dynamic Application it wont be able to interact with SL1. 

There is any plans from SL team to make automatic rebalancing of collector groups in certain interval  like 24 hrs once.? As of now its needs a manual intervention.

Hi All,I would like to know about the extended architecture in detail , the agent is connected to streamer .  How the streamer works on High availability on over the K8 ? Can we have two streamer url  if one is not working the agents communicates with other during planned maintenance or outages ?

Hi - I would like the use the system uptime to create an event for a Windows server reboot.  The Windows Server PowerPack seems to collects this value but can't find an event that uses system uptime.  Is it possible to create an event if the server has not been up for a time period like 15 minutes.Thank you  

We have planned for upgrade to v12.1.1 in our environment. As part of testing identified few Critical/Major issues in which functionality is not working as expected and have huge impact. On further verification found there are articles published about these defects identified post release of v12.1.1.Need Clarification if list of DEFECTS identified post any new release is consolidated in one repository which will be helpful for us to refer and accordingly plan for upgrade ?

Hello all, I just had this question posed to our team regarding config recovery. "Do you have any way of retrieving the configs for switches that have been deleted from SLRP please?"Is there a way to retrieve a backup of RestorePoint (and maybe restore to a temp location) from a specific point in time? If anyone has any advice or previous experience with this SL RestorePoint scenario, your input would be greatly appreciated!

Is it possible to share a complete overview for all the available Powerpacks in the group PowerPack Release Notifications?For instance weekly an update with the new releases (current way of working) and once in the month or bi-monthly an aggregated overview. With one complete overview it becomes easier to compare all your stacks with the lasted released powerpack and implement where needed. 

Our automated SL1/PowerFlow testing process involves creating new devices in SL1.We regularly clone ITSM/CMDB envs into the test environment and the issue is these envs have SL1 device IDs far in advance of the test SL1. This causes test breakage when creating a new SL1 device because some other device is more likely already in existence in the ITSM/CMDB.If the device ID difference range was only small then repeated dummy device creations works a treat but when the difference is in the thousands, this technique is not very useful.Is it possible to change the "next" device ID SL1 uses to create a new device? We would then be able to bring the test SL1 device ID into alignment with the cloned ITSM/CMDB. How can the device ID bump be performed programatically as ideally the entire ITSM/CMDB cloning process should be automated.Thanks, Michael

We're in the process of developing pipelines to provision and configure all our resources in AWS on a per client basis.  Among these resources are the SL1 collector and RP agent. Right now in order to request the AMI for SL1 we need to fill out the form at https://support.sciencelogic.com/s/request-amazon-ami after authenticating via the webpage.  Because of the login flow this has proven difficult to pass through the right information to authenticate and access the AMI request form where we can pass the form data to request the AMI on our AWS account.  I understand this is probably not a common case, but has anyone come across a way to accomplish anything similar?  The best I've been able to do so far is use Selenium to manage a browser logging in and navigating to the form page, but it doesn't lend itself well to the pipelines.For RestorePoint it seems like we still need to submit a case and request the AMI from support.  Is there any plans to add t

Has anyone automated creation/maintenance of device groups? Specifically automating add/remove of static members or adding/removing dynamic rules.

We have plans to implement Exchange v101,IIS v103,AD v101 Powerpacks. Hi,We have SharePoint 2013 installed and would like to monitor the application.  Is there a powerpack for SharePoint 2013 or other ways to monitor SharePoint 2013?  I looked at the one available to download.  The manual show it only supports 2010.NOTE: The Dynamic Applications in this PowerPack support SharePoint Server 2010 SE. Thanks
