In case you hadn’t already heard, ScienceLogic has been named a Visionary in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Observability Platforms 1 . In our view that’s a great opportunity for new ops teams to get to know ScienceLogic. But as part of the Nexus Community working with the SL1 platform, Restorepoint, or Skylar AI for any length of time, that recognition isn’t a surprise at all. You already knew. This isn’t one of those “we’ve arrived” moments for us, especially against a backdrop providing rich monitoring, digital understanding, and automation innovation for over two decades. Instead, we feel it’s a moment of gratefulness and appreciation for the ScienceLogic user community. You have solved one “impossible IT challenge” after another in some of the world’s most complex environments. You’ve tamed local, hybrid, and multi-cloud ops, with workloads and dataflows spanning from mainframes to Kubernetes. The stories you share with us chronicle this. You’re closing observability gaps across your operations, automating swaths of previously manual troubleshooting and remediation steps, and better, freeing your team from tedium and toil to focus their skill on technology innovation and growing the business. Observability, Turbocharged We believe this most recent analyst recognition comes at a pivotal time for IT operations, and we’re excited by the analyst’s research for Observability Platforms. Once focused on providing dashboards for DevOps, APM, and SRE teams, organizations like yours have found that the tenants of observability are useful across all aspects of service delivery, not just a slice of the stack. From human users on a mobile app, to service front ends, to compute, networks, storage and more, modern Observability offers helps you understand what’s happening anywhere in real-world ops. To us, Gartner’s recognition is a validation of the innovative work you do every day. We believe it’s about your expert understanding of the transformational value of real-time insight and automated action, and about how ScienceLogic customers like you deliver outstanding digital experiences even while building modern ops muscle. You’re holding ops together with fewer people, managing tighter timelines, and meeting ever-increasing quality expectations every day. What’s Your Observability Story? We’d love to hear your thoughts on Observability and extending visibility and insight beyond traditional monitoring and log analysis. Also, feel free to share your thoughts below about the evolution of Observability to support the larger organization and new teams. You’ll find detailed insight into modern Observability included in the report, so be sure to check that out in full here. Also, you still also have time to register for our live conference, Nexus Live, October 7-9. The bulk of Nexus Live’s tracks and sessions will be dedicated to observability, best practices, technology advances, and demonstrations of new observability features for your environment. Best of all, it’s a chance to meet other ops experts, and of course we’d love to see you there too. Thank you for your contributions to the evolution of observability. But then again, Logicians like you have always been ahead of the curve. .... Hello Nexus Community Members, Since our launch in April of last year customers and employees have jumped in to contribute to the community through posting content, helping other members and showing benefits, use cases and opportunities for the ScienceLogic product offerings. Several customer members have gone above and beyond with posting content, responding to others, sharing ideas and showcasing best practices. We wanted to take a minute to recognize these top contributors because their participation helps make Nexus a valuable resource and great community for everyone. Teppotahkapaa BIO Have worked with ScienceLogic products since 2017, starting from version 8.10. Our current setup contains multiple SL1 stacks connecting through PowerFlow with ServiceNow. The integration between SL1 and Snow is very important in our environment. “if it is not in ServiceNow, then monitoring is not working”. My current role is Architect for Monitoring, Discovery and Integration. Before EM7/SL1 journey I have worked with at least these monitoring products: HP OpenView, IBM NetView, Zabbix, Nagios, Argent, BMC Patrol, CA UIM, IBM Tivoli, etc. Selling, consulting, teaching and maintaining those products in either our own or in customer premises. Participation in the Nexus Community I want to participate in community to help others use their products better and to push ScienceLogic to go into direction that customers are needing, not just where marketing wants them to go. And community always works in two directions, more you give to community, more you get from it. We have got lots of good ideas and got also some real solutions for our issues from Nexus community. Yomi25 BIO I have over 10 years of experience in the IT industry, with extensive expertise in network automation and IT operations management. I have worked with ScienceLogic, a leading platform known for its comprehensive monitoring, automation, and analytics solutions. ScienceLogic integrates seamlessly with various IT environments, providing real-time insights and actionable intelligence to optimize performance and resolve issues swiftly. In addition to ScienceLogic, I have professional experience in network automation using RestorePoint. RestorePoint is a powerful tool for network configuration and change management, which helps automate backup and restore processes, ensuring network reliability and compliance. I have also developed and implemented automation scripts to streamline network operations, reduce manual intervention, and enhance overall efficiency. Participation in the Nexus Community I participate in the Nexus Community because it offers a vibrant space for professionals to share knowledge, collaborate on solutions, and stay updated with the latest industry trends. The community has provided immense value by connecting me with experts, offering insights into best practices, and fostering a collaborative environment where innovative ideas thrive. It’s also a fantastic platform for creating and sharing new ideas, which helps drive innovation and continuous improvement in the field. Additionally, I love to encourage and help others in the network automation area, sharing my knowledge and experience to support their growth and success. JamesCC BIO I am the “Service Owner” for ScienceLogic at Computacenter which means that I manage the support team for ScienceLogic which is used worldwide – from US to Europe to India. I have worked in system tooling for 25 years and have been impressed by the way that we can consolidate multiple different tools onto one platform. Participation in the Nexus Community The Nexus Community is great for providing “Real World” updates. We know how other people are actually using the product and have a place to go to find solutions to any issues we find. The community setup of Nexus means that we’re able to drive a dialogue with other SL users and not just be a passive recipient of information. Stay tuned for regular updates on Nexus Top Contributors. Feel free to @mention and call out other community members that you think are especially helpful.
