Hello Nexus Community Members, Since our launch in April of last year customers and employees have jumped in to contribute to the community through posting content, helping other members and showing benefits, use cases and opportunities for the ScienceLogic product offerings. Several customer members have gone above and beyond with posting content, responding to others, sharing ideas and showcasing best practices. We wanted to take a minute to recognize these top contributors because their participation helps make Nexus a valuable resource and great community for everyone. Teppotahkapaa BIO Have worked with ScienceLogic products since 2017, starting from version 8.10. Our current setup contains multiple SL1 stacks connecting through PowerFlow with ServiceNow. The integration between SL1 and Snow is very important in our environment. “if it is not in ServiceNow, then monitoring is not working”. My current role is Architect for Monitoring, Discovery and Integration. Before EM7/SL1 journey I have worked with at least these monitoring products: HP OpenView, IBM NetView, Zabbix, Nagios, Argent, BMC Patrol, CA UIM, IBM Tivoli, etc. Selling, consulting, teaching and maintaining those products in either our own or in customer premises. Participation in the Nexus Community I want to participate in community to help others use their products better and to push ScienceLogic to go into direction that customers are needing, not just where marketing wants them to go. And community always works in two directions, more you give to community, more you get from it. We have got lots of good ideas and got also some real solutions for our issues from Nexus community. Yomi25 BIO I have over 10 years of experience in the IT industry, with extensive expertise in network automation and IT operations management. I have worked with ScienceLogic, a leading platform known for its comprehensive monitoring, automation, and analytics solutions. ScienceLogic integrates seamlessly with various IT environments, providing real-time insights and actionable intelligence to optimize performance and resolve issues swiftly. In addition to ScienceLogic, I have professional experience in network automation using RestorePoint. RestorePoint is a powerful tool for network configuration and change management, which helps automate backup and restore processes, ensuring network reliability and compliance. I have also developed and implemented automation scripts to streamline network operations, reduce manual intervention, and enhance overall efficiency. Participation in the Nexus Community I participate in the Nexus Community because it offers a vibrant space for professionals to share knowledge, collaborate on solutions, and stay updated with the latest industry trends. The community has provided immense value by connecting me with experts, offering insights into best practices, and fostering a collaborative environment where innovative ideas thrive. It’s also a fantastic platform for creating and sharing new ideas, which helps drive innovation and continuous improvement in the field. Additionally, I love to encourage and help others in the network automation area, sharing my knowledge and experience to support their growth and success. JamesCC BIO I am the “Service Owner” for ScienceLogic at Computacenter which means that I manage the support team for ScienceLogic which is used worldwide – from US to Europe to India. I have worked in system tooling for 25 years and have been impressed by the way that we can consolidate multiple different tools onto one platform. Participation in the Nexus Community The Nexus Community is great for providing “Real World” updates. We know how other people are actually using the product and have a place to go to find solutions to any issues we find. The community setup of Nexus means that we’re able to drive a dialogue with other SL users and not just be a passive recipient of information. Stay tuned for regular updates on Nexus Top Contributors. Feel free to @mention and call out other community members that you think are especially helpful. Hello Nexus Community Members, An important part of online communities is making sure that members’ questions are promptly answered & marked as solved. This helps in a variety of ways Members who are following your thread are alerted that you have resolved your question. This is helpful if they have the same question because they can review the response and apply as needed to their own implementation. Experts who are looking to help solve problems have visual indicator that this no longer needs their assistance. Whomever has responded with the correct answer gets credit for their time and efforts to help solve your problem. SLA’s in the community are met which is very important to our staff. Who can mark a question as solved? The OP (Original Poster) Moderators Community Manager Ideally the OP marks the thread as solved because ultimately, they know if the response is the correct or if more assistance is needed. Whomever marks the post as solved gets credit for that action and they move up in our Nexus Community Roles and Ranking system. We want our community members to have as much positive recognition as possible. Here is how you mark your Question/Thread as Resolved Login Go to your Question/Thread- there are two primary ways to do this- if you have Bookmarked it or via your Profile ‘Contributions’ feed. Once you are on the Question/Thread page review the responses If a response is correct, please click on the ‘Mark as Solution’ link on the left lower side of that response. If none of the responses resolve your question it is helpful if you post an update that you still need more assistance and include any pertinent details. You can also @mention people who responded or other community members to prompt them to visit your thread and assist.
