We are pleased to announce that the Cisco: Base Pack v218 PowerPack has been released. The download for this release can be found on the Support Portal under the PowerPack filename: https://support.sciencelogic.com/s/release-version/aBu0z000000XZKTCA4/cisco-base-pack Enhancements and Issues Addressed The following enhancements and addressed issues are included in this release: Resolved an issue in which the "Cisco: Physical Memory" Dynamic Application data collection occurred for only a single process on the Cisco 9300. The "Cisco: Physical Memory" Dynamic Application now collects data for multiple processors on the Cisco 9300 device. (Case: 00549821) Addressed an issue where the "Cisco: FRU Control Configuration" Dynamic Application was using the chassis ID as the model number, which caused incorrect asset information to display. (Case: 00529478) The "Cisco: VRF BGP Peers" Dynamic Application now collects both default and non-default VRF information. (Case: 00519522) All Dynamic Applications now run in Python 3 execution environments. (Case: 00465804) 4 Resolved an issue where the "Device Software Version" Dynamic Application did not collect operating system information when manually aligned to network devices. (Case: 00460333) Added a new snmpEngineTime (1.3.6.1.6.3.10.2.1.3) OID to monitor system uptime in the System Uptime OID field on the Device Class Editor page (System > Customize > Device Classes) for all SNMP Enabled device classes. Added a new "Local AS" collection object to the "BGP Peers" Dynamic Application. Updated all policy descriptions in this PowerPack to include dedicated Description, Probable Cause, and Resolution sections when viewing an event policy from the Event Policy page (Events > Event Policies). NOTE: When upgrading to version 218 of this PowerPack, any custom content in the policy description might be overwritten. Existing functionality remains unchanged. With this release, ScienceLogic has rebranded Restorepoint to Skylar Compliance. You will notice this rebranding throughout the platform. This release focuses on user interface reskinning and labeling changes to match the new Skylar brand, while core functionality remains unchanged. This change, as well as similar branding changes to the other products offered by ScienceLogic, reflects ScienceLogic's commitment to delivering intelligence that accelerates outcomes through service-centric observability, AI-driven operations, and intelligent automation. (Case: 00568480) Addressed an issue with the user interface that caused plug-in credential fields on the [Connection] tab to reset when loading a device page with specific plug-ins. (Case: 00577088) Addressed an issue that prevented successful comparison of backups due to changes in the backup manifest file types and plug-in updates. (Case: 00567986) Addressed an issue that prevented large backups from being successfully uploaded to devices. Before deploying Juneau 12.5.1, please read the following notes: Warning: If you are upgrading to 12.5.1 from 12.1.x or 12.2.x, you must run the out-of-band script following the instruction in this KBA (https://support.sciencelogic.com/s/article/19093) BEFORE importing the upgrade bundle! Skipping this step will result in upgrade failure. Alternatively, you can upgrade to a 12.3.x release and then to 12.5.1, as this issue does not affect the 12.3.x to 12.5.1 upgrade path. All Python 2 functionality has been removed from Skylar One with this release. If you still use Python 2 for custom code, you cannot upgrade to this or any later releases until your custom code is Python 3-compatible. Be advised that you can perform upgrades from one minor version to a subsequent minor version in most cases. However, as with all updates, ScienceLogic strongly recommends that you perform such upgrades in a test environment before implementing the upgrades in production environments. The following are the validated upgrade paths for 12.5.1: 12.3.8 > 12.5.1 12.3.7 > 12.5.1 12.2.7 > 12.5.1 12.1.2 (OL8) > 12.5.1 WARNING: If you are upgrading from a version prior to 12.2.3, then after upgrading Skylar One, you must also upgrade MariaDB 10.4.x to version 10.6.21. Failure to perform this MariaDB upgrade can cause major functionality issues in Skylar One. 12.2.x and 12.3.x STIG-compliant users cannot upgrade to this release. 12.5.1 STIG is available only as an ISO. AWS deployments that are using Aurora 3 can upgrade to this release. When upgrading Skylar One to version 12.5.1, PowerPacks will be temporarily read-only until the update is complete.
